Learn more about Vein Removal
in Boca Raton

Laser vein treatment and sclerotherapy are among the most common procedures we perform at SMAC. Unsightly veins of the face and legs may be treated. Generally lasers or broad band light is used to treat tiny veins of the face or body while larger veins of the legs are treated with sclerotherapy (injections) with lasers used for cleanup of small veins.
Benefits of vein treatment.

  • Eliminates facial or body unsightly veins
  • Treatments are quick
  • Virtually painless

How it Works

Lasers are used that target the hemoglobin in the unsightly veins. The skin is chilled with a specialized glass plate and the laser energy is delivered to the vein while sparing the overlying skin. At SMAC we have the latest and most sophisticated of lasers to treat veins.

Leg veins are evaluated differently. Larger veins are evaluated by ultrasound to look for “feeder” vessels. Sclerotherapy with modern chemicals is used to close off larger veins. Lasers are used to treat smaller veins. Extremely large veins are treated at our sister office – Sanctuary Plastic Surgery by excision.
