Gail's Guide to a Successful Laser Hair Removal Treatment
Posted May 09, 2012 4:13 PM
It's time to break out the bikinis, but if you've got unwanted hair your probably used to covering up or going to unnecessary measures to remove the hair. If you're interested in stopping this cycle through Palm Beach Gardens Laser Hair Removal, check out these tips from our laser technician and medical aesthetician, Gail, for a successful laser session!

*Schedule a consultation in Palm Beach - have all your questions answered and the area to be lasered evaluated.
*Check that your facility can accomodate you if you are dark skinned or tan. (Here at Sanctuary Medical Center, we are equipped with lasers that will accomodate any skin color.)
*Keep in mind that laser hair removal works only on dark blonde to black hair colors.
*During treatments, avoid removing hair by the roots (tweezing, waxing, etc.)
*Be sure to shave closely the night before your treatment as this will help minimize your discomfort.

Tina's Best Friend for Summer: Hyaluronic Acid
Posted May 09, 2012 4:06 PM
With summer season quickly approaching in South Florida, the thought of using a daytime moisturizer seems a bit ridiculous. Who wants to use a thick lotion or cream when you can pump it up with hyaluronic acid instead?! This water-binding serum is one of the skin's natural moisturizing factors (NMF) that holds 1000 times its weight in water and is a great humectant for the skin. All skin types can benefit from this ingredient. Neocutis and PCA both offer wonderful hyaluronic based serums. Hyalis by Neocutis is a favorite of mine that is carried at Sanctuary Medical Center! We carry other products that contain hyaluronate like Neocutis Journee and Lumiere, or PCA Exlinea and C-Quench.
