Question
Question: Are there long-term risks of using Botox? Does the face ever build up a sort of immunity to it?
Answer: A small amount of patients may develop antibodies to Botox, in which case there is some resistance. There are some newer Botox-like chemicals on the market that have less of a protein load and may offer less antigenicity and less so-called immunity.

Do cosmetic injections interfere with a Facelift? Posted August 11, 2011 8:31 AM in Botox
Question I’m interested in getting a facelift but I’ve been using Restylane and Botox for about six months now. Will injectables interfere with the surgery and do I need to wait until their effects wear off?
Answer: Patients who have had Restylane and/or toxins such as Botox in their face do not need to wait until the injections wear off before they get a facelift. Usually, the amounts are such small amounts that they do not affect the results of the facelift.
