Facial and décolleté rejuvenation is often performed with an intense pulsed light device (IPL or BBL). By using this approach, most aspects of photodamage, such as telangiectasia, dyschromias, dilated pores, skin textural changes and mild wrinkling can be treated. These treatments are often called photofacials or fotofacials.

Hand Rejuvenation

Our hands often give away our true age, due to color changes, prominent veins or loss of fat. Until recently, there was nothing to be done. However, at SMAC we utilize various technologies to rejuvenate old-appearing hands, including lasers and fillers.

Age spots on the hands are very easy to treat with lasers. At SMAC we utilize either a Q-switched laser or intense pulsed light (IPL or BBL). The laser chosen depends upon your skin color, lesion color, texture and healing time.

Prominent veins are treated with an endovascular laser. The treatment is quick, painless and accomplished with a small fiber laser inserted into the vein.

Loss of fat can be repaired with our new fillers or fat grafting. Sculptra™ or Radiesse™ are our favorite fillers for plumping up hands.
